Lions Club of DSM Infinity

Wheelchair and Essentials to Same Community

On 9th May 2025, the Lions Club of DSM Infinity carried out a heartfelt humanitarian initiative under its Humanitarian, Youth, and Hunger Relief focus areas. This impactful activity brought hope and dignity to a young girl with a disability from Same (Moshi), through the donation of a wheelchair—a true symbol of freedom and independence.

The event was hosted at the Mennonite Church in Upanga, where club members warmly welcomed Sister Leena and Sister Veronica, who had travelled all the way from Same to receive the donation on behalf of the girl and other children at their hostel.

In addition to the wheelchair, the Lions also donated:

  • 25 kilograms of rice
  • 36 packets of sanitary pads

These supplies will go a long way in supporting the children living at the hostel in Same, ensuring not only nourishment but also the dignity and comfort of menstrual hygiene.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the generous donor who made this contribution possible. Your kindness is a testament to the spirit of service that defines our mission.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to all Lions members and special guests who took the time to be part of this meaningful day, including Rev. WamburaSister Leena, and Sister Veronica. Your presence and support added immense value to the event.

Together, we serve—with compassion, purpose, and impact.
