DSM TANZANITES have successfully completed the second week of our 33-day Uji serving program at Jangwani Secondary School. As of Day 14, we have reached the 42% milestone of our total project duration.
Every evening from 6:00 PM onwards, our team has remained steadfast in providing warm, nutritious Uji to students and community members. We are proud to report that our reach has consistently exceeded expectations, with over 500 cups served daily.
This means that in the first two weeks alone, we have provided more than 7,000 servings to ensure a supportive environment for those breaking their fast during this holy month.
The success of these first 14 days is a direct result of the selfeless and persistent commitment shown by the DSM Tanzanites members. We extend our deepest appreciation to those who have volunteered their time and energy to manage the service during the critical iftar hour. Your presence on the ground—handling the logistics of serving over 500 students in a short window and engaging with them embodies the true spirit of service. It is through your hard work that we have maintained a seamless daily operation under high-demand conditions.
This vital community service is made possible by the generosity of our sponsors, whose contributions serve as the literal fuel for this project. Providing 500+ portions every single night requires significant resources, and our sponsors have ensured we never fall short. We are profoundly are thankful to these partners for “powering the service” and believing in our mission to provide immediate, tangible relief to the students at Jangwani throughout Ramadhan.
As we look forward to the final 19 days of the program, our resolve remains strong. With over 9,500 cups still to be served to reach our 33-day goal, we aim to continue this momentum with the same level of care and dedication.
We invite our members and supporters to stay engaged as we work together to complete this journey of compassion and community support.
