Throughout the month, the Lions Club of DSM Infinity has continued its heartwarming initiative, “Uji wa Upendo”, at Tuyata Orphanage Centre, serving nourishing porridge to children aged 3 to 14.
Every weekend, between 50 to 60 children gather at the center for their religious learning—and are welcomed with a warm cup of Uji, lovingly prepared and served by our Lions. For many of these children, it’s more than just a meal—it’s a symbol of care, consistency, and compassion.
As the bond between the children and the club grows, a few dedicated learners have begun visiting the center daily for extended study and support. True to our mission of leaving no child behind, the Lions Club of DSM Infinity now serves Uji to these children each day, ensuring they are nourished both in body and in spirit.
This meaningful act of service is made possible thanks to our generous donors, whose contributions allow us to keep the porridge warm and flowing. A special note of appreciation goes to our Club Food Convenor, whose behind-the-scenes dedication ensures that every pot of Uji is ready on time, every time.
With every cup served, we are reminded of the power of small acts done with great love. Together, we serve—with heart, hope, and Uji wa Upendo.
